At Boughton Heath Academy, we follow the Cheshire West and Chester Local Authority scheme of work for Religious Education (RE). This ensures that children gain a broad understanding of the world’s major religions, as well as areas such as humanism and atheism.

Our RE curriculum is enriched through visits to places of worship and talks from practicing members of different faiths, providing pupils with meaningful opportunities to explore diverse beliefs and traditions.

Parents have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE lessons without providing a reason. If you wish to do so, please contact the school office to discuss arrangements.
